Welcome to YourLight
YourLight is a social presence app that helps friends know when they're available to connect. By using YourLight, you agree to these terms.
Your Account
- You must be 13 or older to use YourLight
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
- Don't impersonate others or create misleading profiles
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users
- Share inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Use the service for spam or unauthorized commercial purposes
- Circumvent security features or access controls
Share Links & Guest Access
When you join a Light via a share link, you provide your name and optionally your phone number. Your name is visible to the host. Your phone number is used only to send you updates about that specific Light or plan.
SMS Program Terms
- Program Name: YourLight Status Updates
- Purpose: Transactional alerts regarding changes to Lights or plans you have joined (e.g., time, location, or cancellations).
- Opt-in: You will only receive SMS updates if you provide your phone number and check the consent box on a YourLight share page. Consent is not a condition of service — you can use YourLight and join a friend's Light without opting in to SMS.
- Frequency: Message frequency varies; typically 1–3 messages per plan.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: You can cancel SMS at any time by replying "STOP" to any message we send. We'll send a single confirmation reply, and after that you will no longer receive SMS from us.
- Help: Reply "HELP" for assistance, or contact support at support@yourlight.me.
- Liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: We will not share, sell, or transfer your mobile information or SMS opt-in consent to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Content & Data
- You own the content you create (Lights, comments)
- You grant YourLight a license to display your content to your chosen audience
- We don't claim ownership of your data

Availability
YourLight is provided "as is." We strive for reliability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update or modify features at any time.
